On Sunday, 8th September, a number of people from the community of Wigan gathered for our 2nd annual Wigan Walk for Hope. It was one of the rainiest days we’ve had this year but that didn’t stop us! The walk not only serves as a space to remember all those who have been lost to suicide throughout Wigan and Leigh, but also as a poignant reminder of the importance of suicide prevention, intervention, mental health support and the power of community solidarity.
The walk concluded with a moving, beautiful service delivered by Revd Sam Nicholson at Wigan Parish Church, where we had the opportunity to light candles and share in remembering loved ones.
