How can I help?

Get involved with EPiC HOPE

We are so happy you’re interested in getting involved with our work here at EPiC HOPE.

There are so many ways that you can help and we truly appreciate each and every volunteer. By lending your support, you will become a valuable part of our movement and help to strengthen our mission.

Suicide prevention

Become a #hopedealer.

EPiC HOPE depends on your commitment to volunteer in order to bring about real change on the ground in local communities.

If it weren’t for the active participation of countless individuals, organisations such as ours would not be possible.

You can train with us to volunteer at our EPiC HOPE Harbours or even to attend the weekly HOPE Circuits in which we visit local areas where suicide rates are known to be high.

Wigan and Leigh need you. We need more #hopedealers

Be the change our borough needs!

1) Briefly describe your educational background and relevant qualifications.
2) Do you have any previous experience in mental health and/or suicide intervention support or related fields? If yes, please elaborate.
Why do you want to become a volunteer with EPiC HOPE?

1) How many hours per week or fortnight are you available to volunteer?
2) Are you able to commit to a minimum term of service? (If yes, specify the duration (e.g. 6 months, 1 year).

You can help us to raise much needed funds by fundraising in our name, be it a bag pack at the local supermarket, a sponsored silence, cake bake or even running a marathon!

Every donation no matter how small, goes a long way to helping us continue our work.

Please contact us if you want to discuss your fundraising ideas!

Launch your own EPiC HOPE Harbour

We want to see our EPiC HOPE Harbours roll out all over the Wigan, Leigh, and Greater Manchester boroughs, if not further. There is no substitute for looking someone in the eye and saying, “You matter.”

Do you know of a local space that would be perfect for this? We will provide training, support and literature for you to be competent and confident heading up your own EPiC HOPE Harbour.
