HOPEFUL CONNECTIONS FOR ALL – Our New Intergenerational Peer Support Initiative

We are excited to announce our new programme launching this September, aimed at fostering connections between people aged over 55 and the younger generation through therapeutic art and other engaging activities. This intergenerational peer support initiative is designed to create meaningful interactions and mutual benefits for participants of all ages.

In collaboration with All Ears Mental Health, our programme will offer a variety of activities that promote mental well-being, creativity, and connection. From painting and creative activities to storytelling, members of the community will have the opportunity to explore their artistic sides while building relationships across generations.

The benefits of intergenerational programmes are well-documented, enhancing social support, reducing feelings of isolation, and building a sense of community. For the younger participants, this initiative provides a unique opportunity to learn from the life experiences and wisdom of older adults. For those over 55, engaging with the younger generation can offer renewed purpose and vitality.

We believe that by bringing different generations together through art and shared activities, we can create a more connected and compassionate community. We look forward to the positive impacts this programme will bring and invite everyone to join us in this transformative journey.
