EPiC HOPE are delighted to announce the upcoming opening of our new Crisis Harbour at the end of November! Designed as a safe, supportive space open during extended hours, this new Harbour will provide crucial support to those facing difficult times in the Wigan Borough.
Over the past 18 months, our Harbours have become a lifeline for individuals in our community experiencing challenges such as mental health struggles, suicidal crises, addiction recovery, bereavement, and more. These safe spaces are more than just a few hours of support; they offer connection, compassion, and a place where people can talk openly, be heard, and feel valued.
Expanding Support in Times of Crisis
Our new Crisis Harbour will bring essential out-of-hours support to people who need it most. This Harbour will serve as a sanctuary for those experiencing crises, offering warmth, a listening ear, and access to resources that can help them through their darkest moments. By expanding the hours and locations available to those in need, EPiC HOPE is stepping closer to our vision of a suicide-safer Wigan and Leigh.
“We are immensely thankful that after a lot of groundwork we are able to extend our hours and service for the people of Wigan and Leigh. It brings us closer to our dream and aim of a zero suicide society.”
