About EPiC HOPE CIC

EPiC HOPE is a suicide prevention and mental health support organisation rooted in peer-led, trauma-informed care. Our Crisis and Community Harbours provide safe spaces across Wigan and Leigh for people in crisis and/or who need immediate mental health support. The RISE Programme (Refugee Integration Support and Empowerment) expands this offer to refugees and asylum seekers, recognising that mental health and social connection are essential to integration, employability, and empowerment.

About the Role

Are you passionate about supporting people through life’s big transitions? We’re looking for an organised, empathetic, and proactive person to lead a project aimed at helping new arrivals settle and thrive in our area.

In this role, you’ll coordinate services, events, and outreach for individuals and families making a new start in the UK. You’ll work closely with local partners, volunteers, and the wider community to ensure people have access to the resources, advice, and support they need. Some responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage integration initiatives to support individuals adjusting to life in the UK
  • Liaise with local authorities, charities, and community groups
  • Organise workshops, information sessions, and social events
  • Provide one-on-one guidance to participants navigating housing, education, and employment
  • Monitor project outcomes and report on progress

About You

You’ll be a compassionate, adaptable, and values-led professional who thrives in community-based settings. You bring warmth, curiosity, and emotional intelligence to your work, with the ability to build trusting relationships and walk alongside people navigating complex experiences, including trauma, displacement, and social isolation.

To succeed in this role, you will be:

  • A natural connector, able to work sensitively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent at juggling multiple priorities and staying organised
  • Experienced in project coordination, ideally in a community or support setting
  • A strong communicator, comfortable working with a variety of partners

Whether you come from a statutory, voluntary, or lived experience background, we are more interested in how you work than where you’ve worked before.

Rewards & Benefits

At EPiC HOPE, we’re a small, purpose-driven team that prioritises people — whether it’s those we support or those we work alongside. We know that working in community and mental health settings can be emotionally demanding, and we are committed to supporting your wellbeing and growth throughout your journey with us.

As part of your role, you’ll benefit from:

  • Medicash Health & Wellbeing Package – covering dental, optical, physiotherapy, counselling, and more
  • Enhanced Bereavement Leave Policy
  • Above-Statutory Annual Leave – so you have time to rest, recharge and reconnect
  • Regular Clinical Supervision – with a qualified practitioner
  • Reflective Practice & CPD Opportunities – including access to peer training, cultural awareness, and trauma-informed development
  • Flexible Working – including occasional home working and a responsive, trust-based culture
  • Inclusive, Supportive Team Culture – with open communication, shared learning, and a no-blame environment

We want you to feel proud of your work and supported as your whole self — not just your job title.
